Simeox Training in Post Covid-19 Patients referred to Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Nov 3, 2021

PhysioAssist is proud to organize a full training day on November 3, 2021 about Post Covid-19 patients care and the place of the Simeox therapy in their Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, in collaboration with Pr Jan Szczegielniak.

Pr Jan Szczegielniak and his team have developed a respiratory rehabilitation program for Covid-19 survivors (Szczegielniak J, et al. Post-COVID-19 rehabilitation – a Polish pilot program. Med Pr. 2021 Jun 10:136047. doi: 10.13075/mp.5893.01122. Epub ahead of print. PMID: 34140706: http://medpr.imp.lodz.pl/pdf-136047-65638?filename=Post_COVID_19.pdf) recommended by the Polish society of physiotherapy and approved by the Polish Minister of Health. This program was implemented in 2020 at the Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Głuchołazy (Poland). This reference National center is led by Pr Jan Szczegielniak and provides continually respiratory rehabilitation for 120 post-Covid 19 patients (21 days). More than 1000 patients have been treated from the start of this program. The Respiratory Rehabilitation team has estimated that about 10% of post-Covid 19 patients referred to this center have persistent dyspnea and impaired lung function associated with chest congestion. The center is using Simeox therapy as bronchial drainage technique for treating these patients more efficiently with great results.
This training day covers different aspects of the respiratory care management of post Covid-19 patients, including the place of Simeox therapy, with some clinical cases presentation. More information, including speakers and topics, can be found here.
